Recollection Halloween Themed Masking Tapes and other Decor

Sorry for the lack of posts for the past two weeks (I haven't been getting enough sun/time for the writing samples) so before the reviews started rolling back, here is a mini spy cam post from Michael's (my go-to spot for after meal stroll).
A new range of Halloween themed masking tape from Recollection (the green lacy one actually can be used all year round, and the purple-black ones remind me of Anna Sui's design).
Pumpkin, Halloween (the date) and polka dots.
Chandelier, polka dots and more geometric prints.
More stickers and other scrapbook items
 Sticker, ribbon and paper pads.

Paperchase Wonderland (and Fountain Pen) from Target

Some cute (well, until I draw really up close) stationery spotted at Target - Paperchase Wonderland sharpener and fordable bag
Multipen (that look shabbier than the 1-RMB I used in China, back in elementary school) and a fountain pen ($4.99) that takes international cartridges. I am curious how it write (maybe it will get some kids to try out fountain pen) but I prefer spending the money on a budge pen by Pilot or a Platinum Preppy instead.
Highlighter (which looks interesting with the brown and purple)
 Gel pens.
Binders that looks pretty cool from a distance.
I used to rave about these mini Green Inspired journals for their price and portability (even though the paper are not fountain pen friendly) and guess what, they have raised the price by a dollar. Time to say good bye.
Mead also jumped into the bandwagon of cuteness (but they still hasn't found the way to appeal to both adult and children)

May Sightings - Notebooks and Journals at Target

Just spotted these cute notebooks/journals at Target over the weekend (let's assume that they are not fountain pen friendly).
  Mickey Mouse!
Interesting texture on this peacock feather one
I was hoping that the Doodle the Day Away one would come with blank page (for doodling/drawing) but it's still line.

Target Sighting - New Notebooks from Paper Chase, Hello Kitty and Green Inspired

Since Target has a pretty big (or wide) clearance a while back (I managed to stocked up a few items 50% - 80% off!) It's natural that now the empty spaces are now filled with new products! I didn't see any interesting pens but there are some really cute notebooks around!

First there are some Paperchase (the label says the brand is from UK) pens, pouches, bag and notebook with spring-like prints.
Binder, paper pad and box (there are also binder/box at the bottom)
New Green Inspired Composition Book with simple Eiffel Tower print (if they are like the Green Inspired notebook I have tried, the paper is probably not fountain pen friendly).

Chronicle Books journals -  Forgot the price in Target but they are around 13 in Amazon

Listography-list making notebook (sounds like my kind of thing) Gotta like the hand-drawn illustration!

Hello Kitty Journal (they are pink and with some print inside. It's cute but a little juvenile.
The stitching and quilt pattern look well-done though.
Golden polka dot notebook from Greenroom - From my experience, most of these
"environmental" are not fountain pen friendly (which is kind of ironic since the only take disposable pens?)

More Binders - I think I prefer the navy-gold combo, since it reminds me of night sky.  Anyway, since the sun is finally back (and my cold is gone...kind of) , I can finally get back into the glamour-shot and reviewing (You know, Sony camera don't work unless there is a full blast of natural light...When there is, the result is pretty glorious).

Stationery Clearance at Target & Michael's

If you run through a lot of gel pens through out the months - It's a good time to stock up since there are some massive clearance sales going on at Target and Michael's. First let's take at look at the sea of red stickers at Target:
Write (never heard of the brand) ballpoint (meh...) half off at 1.37
Three Pilot 1.0mm G2 in blue (I love this color though 0.7mm is already kind of thick for me) for 2.01 and some Target copy.
Pilot Dr.Grip for 3.14 - Still a little expensive but I like the pen's body though

Michael's - Mini Masking Tape Heaven

Apparently, there are more masking tape at Michael's and almost half of them are on clearance.
Gingham check, arrow and stripy ones
Polka dost an plaids
Cameo, music score and antique/film print
Spring and picnic-y ones
More stripe and hound tooth. I was already overwhelmed that I still don't know what to pick (good thing for my wallet, I guess).

Michael's Exclusive Hello Kitty Stationery

There are plenty of licensed (by Sanrio) Hello Kitty products in the US market and most of them have very poor quality (for example, this pair of supposedly collectable figurine that they charge 4 bucks at CVS). It's as if they think that "Well, since most people who like Hello Kitty are under 8 anyway. Let make some disposable cheap stuff that kids would buy and buy again once they break the first ones!" Anyway, when I spotted the display of Hello Kitty stationery at Michael's, I was really surprised because the quality seems really good.

The first row of the display is mini notepad some for personal, family, travel and friends. The pages are illustrated and have some blanks to fill out (like places you want to visit...) and the paper is smooth and thick. Th bad part is that there are only 30 pages  and much of the space is already taken by the printing and illustration.

Elastic Book Bands - Can't find a use of it (all of my books close just fine) but I guess they could work as hair bend for those athletic people, the blue/red polka dot ones looks sort of fashionable.
Felt tape with flag pattern and a kitty head ( the best selling one of the three)
